Sometimes something comes along and presents a challenge, sometimes it's best to just walk away. I have really never mastered that principal and often jump in without checking the water depth. This is one of those cases, these white oak logs were way too big to handle or even move so they all had to be split with a chainsaw. This one was the smallest log so I cut it in half to try and get a few slabs out of it. It took a little adjusting and a little trimming but I did manage to get this 1/2 cut up. It maxed out the saw cut roller to roller but it did yield some interesting slabs and also some 4/4 qtr sawn oak boards
