I decided to tackle this oak log project now that the weather has cooled off a little. This is the largest log I have ever tried to saw and was so big it had to be split with a chainsaw. It took 3 gallons of gas, 6 chains, and 2 saws but I did manage to get it done. It was a lot of work, but hopefully will yield some great quarter sawn oak lumber. The cuts aren't perfectly straight but, it will work for getting manageable size logs to saw up.
